Browns Canyon was recently designated as a National Monument! This is exciting news for everyone that utilizes this beautiful area. Browns Canyon National Monument offers 22,000 acres of Federally and State Managed public land in Chaffee County. So much to do in so little time. Fishing, hiking, camping and white water rafting are just a few of the activities you might enjoy! Make every weekend one to remember! The Arkansas River From Leadville to Canyon City offers some of the best Gold Medal waters in Colorado. There is access to miles and miles of publicly accessible fishing and plenty of large Brown and Rainbow trout to be caught. I would be happy to help steer you in the right direction, just let me know and I’m happy to help. There are also many guide services that really know their stuff, such as what is currently hatching and the best places to go. Ark Anglers is one of my personal favorites! I caught the “Brownie” in this picture the first week of August! For more information on Ark Anglers you can visit: http://www.arkanglers.com/.
